Ms. Peltz began her association with ASMT in early 2005 as an intern, continuing afterwards as a staff member. During this time, she directed the creation and implementation of a new information organization system that expanded and improved the ability of ASMT to offer support and effective outreach to families affected by autism.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help take ASMT to new levels of service and support for the many families and individuals in Middle Tennessee who are affected by autism.  My background in working directly with kids with autism has helped me to have an understanding and empathy for the struggles these individuals and their families face day in and day out.  ASMT has already accomplished so much with a core group of dedicated volunteers and parent representatives,” says Ms. Peltz, “I’m excited to be a part of this team and help to increase the effectiveness of the work of this organization.”

The Autism Society of Middle Tennessee is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting autism awareness, and helping to ensure those individuals in Middle Tennessee with autism, and their families, receive appropriate, effective services. Currently, there are over 4000 families, individuals, and organizations in nearly 30 counties of Middle Tennessee who directly benefit from our services, including information and referral, support, advocacy, and education.   Through monthly workshops, orientations, conferences, an Information and Referral office staffed by parent representatives, a library and web site, ASMT serves a large and diverse population of individuals, families, and professionals
